I went for a little walk last week. Well... a 3 day walk of almost 50 miles, which was more enjoyable than it may sound.
I joined my dad's wife for the end of the pennine way walking across various hills and moorland, and ending up walking over Hadrian's wall, which strangely I'd never been to, despite living right next to it all my life.
Anyway it is very nice to know that I can walk up to 20 miles a day and wake up without sore legs to do it all again the next day. Mountains are evil though. After going up cross fell, decided that I must get into training for Nepal or I am not going to have fun!
I must say this long distance walking business would be an excellent weight loss regime. apart from the obvious masses of exercise, it seems walking all day really kills my appetite and I was never actually hungry the whole time I was away.
Anyone want to go on a 4 week walk with me?
